Dirty and Dark

I found this on the outskirts of one of the towns. Municipal sewage coming in. Farmers feel that it is good for their crops as it contains all the nutrients. In

fact it gives them better produce. Vegetables are grown here which are supplied to the town market.

I had a look at the water and thought,”can this water be really good? Do these people also know about the kind of dangers this untreated water poses?” And a reply came from within,”of course not”.

Two brothers are seen in this water, even a drop of which if falls on us will prompt us to go for bath. But they are not scared. In an age when they should be in school learning about the pros and cons of this sewage, they are in it earning a living from it.

I thought these things are related. People think this water is good for their land and crops unaware of the fact that how much heavy metals(and other dangerous things) it is adding into their field, their crops, their body, their future and their country’s future.

These kids working in such condition at this age, this is not a future that this country wanted. We need to remove this sewage out of the future (dark and dirty) of these kids and their country, our country.
